Now we have had Gibson Custom add the upscale looking Super 400 fingerboard inlays. This definitely won't last long. As the flagship model from Gibson Custom Shop, the Les Paul Custom lives up to the high standards set by its 1950s archetype while evolving to a level of tone and performance more suited to today's musical demands. This Les Paul Custom features a solid Ebony fingerboard, a long neck tenon for maximum sustain and a two-piece maple top over a solid mahogany body which adds the perfect amount of sonic bite to everything from jazz to hard rock. It sounds as good as it looks, and it looks as good as it sounds! The 24 ¾-inch scale length neck is also made from one solid piece of mahogany then topped by a 22-fret Ebony fingerboard and given Gibson’s traditional rounded profile. Other appointments include Gibson’s legendary Nashville Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, Grover tuners, multi-ply white and black binding on both the top and back, Chrome hardware and a 1 11/16” nut width."
