Description:
The EC Grey model was designed and built by Fender Masterbuilder Todd Krause. All of the hardware and electronics match that of Clapton's own guitar. Importantly, the tremolo is blocked off from the factory by Fender with wood and rear cover removed as Clapton's own guitar was for his world tour. Unfortunately, most collectors have removed and discarded the block thinking this was done aftermarket by someone else and have covered the tremolo cavity in some instances with an aftermarket cover. This is not correct for this model! More unique to this exact example in this small Limited Edition release, it is one of the handful of the 111 guitars that did not receive Fender's cheesy "When You're Ready" slogan stamped into the neck plate, which would not be present on Eric Clapton's own guitar.
